Account Status
Each MT5 account in TradeTorq has a status indicator that shows the health of its connection. Understanding these statuses helps you quickly identify and resolve issues.
Status Types
| Status | Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Healthy | π’ Green | Terminal is connected and running normally. EA is active and streaming data. |
| Pending | π‘ Yellow | Terminal is starting up. Wait 30β60 seconds for it to connect. |
| Degraded | π Orange | Terminal is connected but experiencing issues (slow heartbeats, intermittent connectivity). |
| Offline | β« Gray | Terminal is not running. May need to be restarted. |
| Auth Error | π΄ Red | Authentication failed. Your MT5 credentials are incorrect or have changed. |
What Each Status Means
Healthy
Everything is working correctly. Your terminal is connected to the broker, the EA is running, and data is streaming in real-time. Command Keys and automation will work normally.
Pending
Your terminal is in the process of starting up. This happens when:
- You've just added a new account
- The terminal is restarting after a system update
- The platform is reconnecting after maintenance
Action: Wait 30β60 seconds. The status should change to Healthy automatically.
Degraded
The terminal is connected but not performing optimally. Possible causes:
- Slow broker server response times
- Network latency between the cloud terminal and broker
- High load on the broker's trading server
Action: Monitor the situation. Most degraded states resolve on their own. If it persists for more than 5 minutes, try refreshing the page.
Offline
The terminal process is not running. This can happen if:
- The terminal crashed unexpectedly
- The cloud server was restarted
- There's an infrastructure issue
Action: Wait for automatic recovery (the system monitors and restarts terminals). If the status doesn't change after 5 minutes, contact support.
Auth Error
The terminal tried to log in to your broker but authentication failed. Common reasons:
- Password changed β You changed your MT5 password at your broker
- Account disabled β Your broker has disabled or suspended the account
- Wrong server β The selected server doesn't match your account
- Two-factor authentication β Some brokers require additional verification
Action: Go to the Accounts page, edit the account, and verify your credentials are correct.
Heartbeat monitoring
TradeTorq monitors your terminal's heartbeat every few seconds. If the heartbeat stops, the system automatically attempts to restart the terminal. You'll see this reflected in the status indicator.
Status in the Command Center
The Command Center also shows a connection health indicator in the top bar β a small pulsing dot that reflects the real-time connection status:
- Green pulse β Connected and receiving live data
- Yellow pulse β Connection is slow or intermittent
- Red pulse β Connection lost, data may be stale
- Gray (no pulse) β Not connected
This indicator updates automatically as the connection state changes.
