Keep your TradeTorq account secure by managing your password and reviewing security options.

Changing Your Password

Go to Settings
Navigate to Settings → Security tab.

Enter current password
Type your current password to verify your identity.

Enter new password
Choose a strong password — at least 8 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.

Confirm and save
Re-enter the new password and click Update Password.

Password requirements

Your password must be at least 8 characters long. We strongly recommend using a unique password that you don't use on other websites.

Password Best Practices

Practice	Why it matters
Use 12+ characters	Longer passwords are significantly harder to crack
Mix character types	Combine uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
Don't reuse passwords	A breach on another site won't compromise TradeTorq
Use a password manager	Generates and stores strong, unique passwords

Session Management

When you change your password:

Your current session stays active
All other sessions are invalidated
You'll need to log in again on other devices

MT5 Credential Security

Your MT5 account credentials (login, password, server) are handled securely:

Credentials are encrypted and stored in AWS Secrets Manager
They are never displayed in plain text in the app
Only the account number and broker name are shown on the Accounts page
Credentials are used solely by the farm agent to connect your MT5 terminal

Your MT5 password is safe

TradeTorq staff cannot see your MT5 passwords. They are encrypted at rest and in transit, and only the automated farm agent uses them to connect to your broker.

Forgot Password

If you've forgotten your password and can't log in:

Go to the login page
Click Forgot password?
Enter your email address
Check your inbox for a reset link
Click the link and set a new password

The reset link expires after 1 hour for security.
