Getting Started
What is TradeTorq?
TradeTorq is a cloud-based trade management platform for MetaTrader 5. It gives you a web dashboard to manage your open positions with one-click actions (Command Keys), automated trade management (Trail SL, Ladder TP, Auto BE, and more), and real-time portfolio monitoring — all without installing any software.
Do I need to install anything?
No. TradeTorq is entirely web-based. You connect your MT5 account, and we run a cloud terminal on your behalf. You access everything from your browser at deck.tradetorq.com.
Which brokers are supported?
TradeTorq works with any MetaTrader 5 broker. When you add an account, you select your broker and server from a list. If your broker isn't listed, contact support and we'll add it.
Can I use TradeTorq on mobile?
The web app is responsive and works on mobile browsers. A dedicated mobile app is coming soon.
Accounts
How many MT5 accounts can I connect?
It depends on your plan:
| Plan | Account Limit |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Lite | 2 |
| Pro | 5 |
| Premium | 10 |
Does TradeTorq place trades for me?
No. TradeTorq does not open trades. It manages trades you've already placed in MT5 — applying stop-loss, take-profit, partial closes, and other modifications through your commands.
Is my MT5 password safe?
Yes. Your MT5 credentials are encrypted and stored in AWS Secrets Manager. They are never displayed in the app and are only used by the cloud terminal to connect to your broker. TradeTorq staff cannot see your passwords.
Can I still use my MT5 terminal while connected?
Your account is connected to TradeTorq's cloud terminal. If you also log in from a desktop MT5 client with the same account, MT5 may disconnect one session (MT5 allows one connection per account). We recommend trading from your own terminal and using TradeTorq for management only.
Command Keys
What happens if I click a Command Key on the wrong position?
Command Keys that act on specific positions (like Close 50% or SL → BE) only affect the position you've targeted — not all positions. If you use a bulk action (like Close All), it acts on all positions for the selected account.
Why is SL → BE grayed out on my position?
SL → Break Even requires your position to be in profit. If the current price hasn't moved enough past your entry to set a valid stop-loss at break-even, the action won't be available.
What does "Requires Premium" mean on a Command Key?
Some actions — like Partial TP, Double, Inverse, and Close All — are only available on the Premium plan. Upgrade to unlock them.
Automation
Can I run multiple automations on the same position?
Yes. You can run Trail SL and Ladder TP simultaneously on the same position. They operate independently — Trail SL moves your stop-loss, while Ladder TP closes partial lots at targets.
What happens to automations if my terminal goes offline?
Automations require an active terminal connection. If your terminal goes offline, automations pause and resume automatically when the terminal reconnects. Pending actions are not queued — they resume from the current market state.
Can I edit an automation after starting it?
You can cancel an active automation and create a new one with different settings. In-progress automations cannot be edited directly.
Subscription & Billing
Is the free trial really free?
Yes. The 7-day free trial gives you full Premium access with no credit card required. When the trial ends, your account reverts to the free tier unless you subscribe.
What happens when my subscription expires?
Your account reverts to the free tier. You can still view your dashboard but won't be able to use paid features like advanced Command Keys or automations. Your data is preserved.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support within 48 hours of a charge if you believe it was made in error.
Do you offer annual pricing?
Annual plans are coming soon. Currently, all plans are billed monthly.
Technical
Why does my account show "Offline"?
This usually means the cloud terminal for your account couldn't connect to your broker's MT5 server. Common causes:
- Incorrect MT5 credentials (check login, password, server)
- Broker server is down for maintenance
- Account has been disabled by the broker
See the Troubleshooting page for detailed steps.
What's the latency for trade actions?
Typical latency is under 600ms from button click to execution confirmation. This includes the round trip from your browser to our cloud terminal and back.
