Notification Types
TradeTorq can notify you about the following events:
| Notification | Description |
|---|---|
| Trade alerts | When a Command Key action or automation executes on your positions |
| Account status | When an MT5 account goes offline, reconnects, or encounters an error |
| Subscription | Billing reminders, plan changes, trial expiration |
| System updates | New features, maintenance windows, platform announcements |
In-App Notifications
In-app notifications appear in real time via the notification bell in the header:
- A badge shows the count of unread notifications
- Click the bell to see recent notifications
- Each notification links to the relevant page (e.g., a terminal status alert links to the Accounts page)
Email Notifications
Email notifications are sent for critical events that may require your attention even when you're not in the app:
- Account alerts: Terminal disconnections, authentication failures
- Billing: Payment failures, subscription expiration reminders
- Security: Password changes, new logins from unrecognized devices
Essential emails
Security and billing emails cannot be disabled — these are critical to protecting your account and ensuring you don't lose access.

Recommended Settings
For active traders, we recommend keeping all notifications enabled — especially:
- Account status alerts — so you know immediately if a terminal drops offline
- Trade execution alerts — for visibility into what your automations are doing
- Billing reminders — to avoid subscription interruptions
