Command Keys Overview

Command Keys

Command Keys are the core of TradeTorq's trade management system. They're a 5×4 grid of one-click action buttons that let you manage all your open positions instantly, without navigating menus or typing values.

The grid is organized into five color-coded rows, each focused on a specific type of action:

RowColorActions
Row 1RedClose actions — reduce or close positions
Row 2AmberStop loss management — protect your risk
Row 3GreenTake profit management — secure your gains
Row 4BluePremium actions — advanced position management
Row 5PurpleAutomation — set-and-forget engines

How Command Keys Work

  1. Select your master account in the Command Center
  2. Click a Command Key button
  3. Configure the action (if needed) — some keys open a quick configuration modal
  4. The command executes on all relevant open positions simultaneously
  5. Results appear in the command history

All positions affected

Most Command Keys apply to all open positions for the selected symbol or account. If you want to modify a single position, right-click it in the positions table for per-position actions.

Key Categories

Close Actions — Row 1

Reduce or fully close your open positions. Close half, close a custom percentage, close only winners, or close only losers.

Stop Loss Management — Row 2

Move your stop loss to breakeven, to entry price, lock in profit with pips from breakeven, or set custom SL levels.

Take Profit Management — Row 3

Set take profit at breakeven, at entry, by risk-reward ratio, or set custom TP levels.

Premium Actions — Row 4

Advanced actions including partial take-profit, doubling your position, inverting your direction, and closing everything.

Automation Keys — Row 5

Launch automation engines directly from the grid: Auto BE, Auto TP, Ladder TP, and Trail SL.

Command History

Every Command Key action is logged in the Command History. For each command, you can see:

  • Action type — Which Command Key was used
  • Parameters — The configuration used (e.g., 50% for Close Half)
  • Status — Success, partial success, or failure
  • Result — Details about what was executed
  • Timestamp — When the command was sent

This gives you a complete audit trail of all your trade management actions.
