Manage Accounts
Manage Accounts
Once you've added MT5 accounts to TradeTorq, you can manage them from the Accounts page.
Viewing Your Accounts
The Accounts page shows all your connected MT5 accounts as cards. Each card displays:
- Account name — Your broker and account number
- Status indicator — Color-coded dot showing connection health
- Balance — Current account balance
- Broker and server — Which broker and server the account is connected to
- Account type — Standard, PRO, ECN, etc.
Editing an Account
To update an account's details:
- Click on the account card to open it
- Modify the fields you want to change (e.g., password, account type)
- Click Save to apply changes
Password changes
If you change your MT5 password at your broker, update it here immediately. Otherwise, the terminal will disconnect and show an Auth Error status.
Terminal Controls
Each account has terminal management controls:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Refresh Symbols | Reloads the available trading symbols from your broker |
| Fetch History | Downloads your closed trade history from MT5 |
| Sync History | Performs a smart incremental sync of recent trade history |
Refreshing Symbols
When you first add an account, TradeTorq loads your broker's available symbols automatically. Use Refresh Symbols if:
- Your broker adds new trading instruments
- You've changed your account type
- Some symbols are missing from the Command Center
Fetching Trade History
Click Fetch History to download your past closed trades from MT5. This populates the Closed Positions tab in the Command Center and provides data for the Dashboard analytics.
Sync History is a smarter version that only downloads trades newer than your last sync, avoiding duplicate downloads.
Removing an Account
To delete an account from TradeTorq:
- Navigate to the Accounts page
- Click on the account you want to remove
- Click the Delete button
- Confirm the deletion
Deletion is permanent
Deleting an account removes it from TradeTorq and stops the dedicated terminal. It does not affect your actual MT5 account at your broker — your positions and balance remain untouched.
Multiple Accounts
You can connect multiple MT5 accounts from different brokers. Each account:
- Has its own dedicated terminal
- Requires its own subscription or active trial
- Is managed independently in the Command Center
- Can run its own automation configurations
Use the Master Selector in the Command Center to switch between accounts.
